Ramiro Davaro-Comas

Pushing Wood

October 10th to October 25th, 2015

Pushing Wood is the newest collection of paintings by Ramiro Davaro-Comas. This series is a conglomeration of brightly colored wild and mischievous skateboarders pushing wood through grainy worlds. It is full of Donkey Long boarding, pulling skate cakes, Ninja Kicks, hand plants, Batman&Robin, Cops on Rollerblades, scooter wars and much much more. With over 25 wooden panels at an awesomely affordable price, it’s going to be an epic one with lots of laughs! We will also be giving free T-Shirts with any art purchase!

Ramiro Davaro-Comas is an Argentine/American artist living in Brooklyn. He has been painting since he was a child, and his work is heavily influenced by his travels, street life, comic books, South American/European Muralism, skateboarding culture and animation. Davaro-Comas works within his own vocabulary of characters, symbols and iconography, creating fantastical worlds in which his characters float and loom about, and seem to always be on the search. His work has an underlying social narrative that prods its viewer to ask questions and create their own story line to his images.
